Floor System
Sills: 2 x 6 PTSYP (graded #1 Pressure Treated Southern Yellow Pine)
Girders: LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber)
Double headers: 2 x 8 or 2 x 10 spruce as required
Floor joists: 2 x 8 or 2 x 10 spruce 16” O.C. (On Center) as required
Subfloor: 5/8” T&G (Tongue & Groove) OSB (Oriented Strand Board)
Porch and deck floor framing: Floor joists, sills and headers — 2 x 6, 2 x 8 or 2 x 10 PTSYP
Porch and deck flooring: 5/4 x 6 radius edge PTSYP
Hardware: Floor joist hangers and metal cross bridging as required

Walls and Gables
Wall and gable logs: Eastern White Pine, Traditional grade, milled 6 x 8 “D” shaped tongue and groove pre-cut and numbered logs with preservative treatment
Log sealants: Puttylastic caulking; foam gaskets; pre-compressed corner pads; 11.8” FastenMaster® LogHog-SR (Settling Resistant Screws)
Window and door jambs: Specially-milled pine with 9" screws
Log siding: Milled ship-lap log siding as needed for floor frame skirting, dormers, and shed porch gables. Eastern White Pine, preservative treated
Wall braces: 6 x 6, 6 x 8 or glulam as required with hardware
Splined Posts: Specially milled 6 x 6 as required

Ceiling joists: 2 x 8 or 2 x 10 spruce 16” O.C., with nailers
Hardware: Ceiling joist hangers; metal cross bridging
Floor: 5/8” T&G OSB
Beams: Spruce or glulam with hardware if required

Double plate on top of log
Rafters: 2 x 8 or 2 x 10, 16” O.C. or pre-built truss rafters with hardware, 24” O.C. as designed NOTE: We do not supply temporary or permanent bracing.
Ladder and fly rafter materials
Rafter tails: 2 x 6, 16” O.C.
Ridge beam: LVL
Ridge beam support: 6 x 6 or glulam post, ridge to post connector, sloped rafter hangers, and heel connectors
Roof sheathing: 5/8” square edge OSB
Roof strapping: 1 x 4 spruce boards (only when supplying knotty pine v-match roof boards to cover underside of rafters)
Fascia: 1” knotty pine boards
Soffit: 1” knotty pine v-match boards
Vents: Ridge and soffit
Roof boards: 1” knotty pine v-match boards supplied to cover bottom side of roof rafters
