Floor System

Sills: 2 x 6 PTSYP (graded #1 Pressure Treated Southern Yellow Pine)
Girders: 2 x 8 built up on job
Double headers: 2 x 8 spruce
Felt paper: To cover double headers and sills
Floor joists: 2 x 8 spruce 16” O.C. (On Center)
Hardware: Floor joist hangers; metal cross bridging
Subfloor: 5/8” T&G (Tongue and Groove) OSB (Oriented Strand Board)
Porch and deck floor framing: Floor joists, sills and headers — 2 x 6 PTSYP
Porch and deck flooring: 5/4 x 6 radius edge PTSYP

Exterior Walls

Wall and gable logs: Eastern White Pine, Camp and Cabin grade, milled 6 x 8 “D” shaped tongue and groove pre-cut and numbered logs with preservative treatment. Camp and Cabin grade logs have imperfections and a more rustic look.
Log sealants: Puttylastic caulking; foam gaskets; pre-compressed corner pads; 12" sprial spikes
Window and door jambs: Specially-milled pine with 9” screws
Log siding: Milled ship-lap log siding as needed for floor frame skirting. Eastern White Pine, preservative treated
Wall braces: 6 x 6 or 6 x 8 as required with hardware
Splined posts: Specially milled 6 x 6 as required with hardware

Ceiling

Ceiling joists: 2 x 8 spruce 16” O.C.
Hardware: Ceiling joist hangers; metal cross bridging
Floor: 5/8” T&G OSB
Posts and beams: Spruce or LVL (laminated veneer lumber) as required with hardware

Roof rafters: 2 x 8 spruce 16” O.C.

Roof sheathing: 5/8” square edge OSB
Fascia: 1” pine boards
Soffits: 1” knotty pine v-match boards
Porch rafters: 2 x 6 spruce 16” O.C.

Windows: Andersen^® 400 Series Low-E4 glass Tilt-Wash double-hung and Casement windows with full screens (no grilles). Colors: White- Sandtone — Terratone® — Forest Green.
Flexiframes without grilles
Gliding patio doors: Andersen 400 Series Low-E4 Frenchwood^® with screens, hardware and locksets (no grilles). Colors: White — Sandtone — Terratone^® — Forest Green.
Exterior doors: 3’0” x 6’8” pre-hung Therma-Tru^® Smooth-Star^® fiberglass door system (no grilles), 20 year limited warranty
Exterior locksets: Yale^®
Backer rod
Exterior window and door trim: Random length pine specially milled 2 x 4 radius edges
