To design the Outdoor Life and Field & Stream Dream Cabins,
the editors asked their readers — all outdoor sports enthusiasts —
“What do what do you want in your ultimate dream cabin?”
Topping the list — the Dream Cabins had to work for both a
hunting or fishing expedition as well as a place where families
could vacation year round.
Logs and building components and even the design will only take you part way there. One reader captured the heart of the Dream with this observation:
